Privacy notice
Last updated: October 2026
This notice explains what we do with the information you give us when you contact Flowers by Annie, book a workshop, or ask for a quote. We keep it simple: we only collect what we need to reply to you and deliver what you've asked for, and we never sell your details to anyone.
Who we are
Flowers by Annie Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17476579, based in West Yorkshire. We are the data controller for the information described in this notice.
For anything about your information, contact Annie on 07830 831389 or contact@flowersbyannie.co.uk.
What we collect, and why
| What | Why we need it |

| Your name | To reply to you properly and to know whose booking is whose |
| Email address | To answer your enquiry and send payment links, confirmations and joining details |
| Phone number (optional) | To reach you quickly if something changes on the day |

| Event details — dates, venue, budget | To prepare a personalised quote for weddings, funerals and events |

We don't ask for payment card details through this website. Payments are taken through a secure payment link, and we never see or store your card number.
Our lawful basis
- Consent — when you send us an enquiry and tick the box asking us to get back to you.
- Contract — once you book a workshop or order flowers, we need your details to fulfil that booking.
- Legal obligation — we keep records of sales for HMRC, as every business must.
If you've told us about a health, dietary or accessibility need, we only use it to look after you at that event, and we delete it afterwards.
Who sees your information
Only Flowers by Annie, and the services we use to run the business:
- Our website host, which receives and stores enquiries sent through the forms on this site
- Our email provider
- Our payment provider, which handles payment links and card details directly
- Our accountant, for sales records
We never sell, rent or share your details for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become bookings: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Bookings and orders: up to 7 years, because tax records must be kept that long.
- Accessibility and dietary notes: deleted once the event has passed.
Marketing
We'll only add you to a mailing list if you've asked us to. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and you can tell us to stop at any time by replying or calling us.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you in a portable form. You can also withdraw consent at any time. Just contact us and we'll sort it, normally within one month and at no cost.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Cookies
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't profile visitors. Our host may record basic, anonymous visit statistics to keep the site running and secure.
Children
Children are welcome at our workshops, but bookings must be made by an adult, and we only collect a child's details where a parent or guardian provides them as part of a booking.
Booking terms

Workshops
To book a place, register your interest through the website and we'll reply with a payment link. You can either:
- Pay a deposit to hold your place, with the balance due no later than the day before the workshop; or
- Pay in full at the time of booking.
Your place is only confirmed once we've received your deposit or full payment. Places are limited and allocated in the order payments come in.
| Workshop | Price | Deposit |
|---|---|---|
| Pumpkin arrangements | £35 per person | £10 per person |
| Christmas wreath making | £49 per person | £19 per person |
Paying the balance
Where you've paid a deposit, the remaining balance must be paid by the day before the workshop. If we haven't received it by then, we may release your place to someone else and your deposit will not be refunded.
Cancellations
Deposits are non-refundable. Your flowers and materials are ordered in especially for you as soon as your place is confirmed, and they can't be returned or used again, so the deposit covers that cost.
If you cancel more than 48 hours before the workshop and you've already paid in full, we'll refund everything except the deposit amount.
If you cancel within 48 hours of the workshop, or don't turn up, no refund can be given, as by then your materials have been bought and prepared.
You're very welcome to send someone else in your place at no extra cost — just let us know their name beforehand.
If we have to cancel
If we cancel a workshop for any reason, you'll be offered a place on another date or a full refund, including your deposit. The choice is yours.
At the workshop
- Children are welcome. Anyone under 14 must be accompanied by an adult who stays for the session.
- Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time.
- Tell us in advance about any allergies, dietary needs or accessibility requirements and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
- We use scissors, wire and secateurs. Please take care, and supervise children at all times.
- Your finished arrangement is yours to take home at the end of the session.
Gift bookings
Workshops can be booked as a gift for someone else. Just tell us when you enquire and we'll send a gift confirmation rather than emailing the recipient directly.
Event flowers — weddings, funerals and celebrations
- We cover the whole of Yorkshire, and delivery is included within your quote.
- Every event is quoted individually. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
- Wedding and event bookings are confirmed with a deposit, which is non-refundable and comes off your final balance. The balance is due before the event date, as agreed in your quote.
- Flowers are seasonal and natural. If a specific variety isn't available on the day, we'll substitute something of the same quality, colour and style, and let you know.
- Funeral tributes are arranged as quickly as we can and delivered directly to the funeral director or address you give us.
Gifting bouquets from our flower machines
- All bouquets are freshly made and refrigerated in the machine.
- If something isn't right with your bouquet, contact us within 24 hours with a photo and we'll put it right.
- Flowers are perishable, so please get them into water as soon as you can.
